Crispin Cider BBQ Sauce

The zing in this BBQ sauce is sure to add complement to any dish grilled or roasted but with our Crispin Pulled Pork recipe it's perfect


Crispin Cider BBQ Sauce


  • Crispin “The Saint” Cider – 1 cup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp diced jalapenos
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste


Combine onion, garlic, jalapenos and Crispin Cider in a medium sauce pan.  Sautee until onion and jalapenos are soft and cider has reduce and thickened slightly.  About 20 minutes.  Add all remaining ingredients, bring to boil. Simmer uncovered until reduced and thickened, about 25 minutes. Add more Crispin Cider if you need to thin sauce.
